Inspired by biophilic design, r+ ream integrates architecture seamlessly with the mangrove ecosystem. Its spatial design components are inspired by the stages in a mangrove tree's life cycle, with the reception building representing mangrove flowers, the floating pools echoing propagules, the hotel facade recalling its bark, and the meandering boardwalks and nursery resembling prop roots.
The resort features studios and suites in a low-rise accommodation block, blending in with the environment. It sits lightly on the wetlands, allowing wildlife to flourish all around it. Guests are immediately immersed amidst the mangroves, and can enjoy leisurely strolls on the elevated boardwalks, taking in the lush flora and fauna up-close.
